For a comprehensive set of videos of "Atolled You So!", as well as videos of her brother "Kenny", please check out our youtube channel. Below is just some of the awesome footage we have of her. Dates indicate the day the video was taken.

First Match

Watch us capture 4 atolls (3 unique and 1 recaptured). Unfortunately our batteries dropped below the minimum voltage needed to power one of the motor drivers, causing us to just drive around in circles.

God mode

Here we demonstrate an easter egg feature in which we spoof the RFID chip and capture all 5 atolls at once.

On/Off switch

Demonstration of our awesome on/off switch that utilized a reed switch and magnet.

Score indicator

Instead of using LEDs that would not be visible in sunlight, we used servos with color wheels. The colors were especially vibrant in conjunction with acrylic lenses!

Wave pool test

We ran some tests in a wave pool to make sure she could withstand rough waters.

Final platform (05/25/2011)

This is our final platform shown on checkoff day. It shows all the new editions we made, such as color antennas to mark team color, as well as the skirt/bumper we gave her.

Hoop fountain slalom (05/23/2011)

First atoll captured (05/17/2011)

This marks our first atoll capture, well in advance of the checkoff and presentation day.

First RC prototype (05/10/2011)

Getting in the water asap was important to us, and here we are on our maiden RC voyage.

First pool prototype (05/07/2011)

Here is the first full size platform, utilizing a Lego scout to go around the kiddie pool in random motions. Here you see us doing some buoyancy tests.

First prototype (05/02/2011)

A very quick prototype of paddle wheels was thrown together utilizing a small piece of foam and two 6"x6" pieces of thin aluminum (with a few snips and bends). Luckily the boat scaled up just as well!
